Raj is the Director of Government Affairs & Strategic Partnerships at SGTech, the premier trade association for tech companies. At SGTech he oversees the association’s engagement with Government to advance the tech industry’s advocacy positions. Prior to his role at SGTech Raj spent over 8 years in the public sector and 4 years in the private sector. In his public sector role, Raj was a Head of Department at Enterprise Singapore (ESG, SPRING Singapore previously) where he oversaw investments to industry partners. In addition, Raj spent some time at the Ministry of Trade & Industry (MTI) overseeing policy formulation for Singapore’s business grant landscape. Raj also performed an international affairs role during his tenure in the public sector fostering multilateral & bilateral cooperation, he later received an Honorary Fellowship in recognition for his contributions.
In his private sector role, Raj led a start-up in its international business development (North America & Europe) and later led the whole company overseeing departments from manufacturing, marketing to sales.
Raj holds a Masters in Communication Science from Singapore Management University (SMU), Advanced Management programme from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Bachelors of Business management from NUS Business School(NUS).
